Why Sheleg?

Sheleg, meaning snow, is our incredible 4 day residential winter camp for school years 4-6 (P5-P7). This year they will have an unforgettable experience of spending NYE with RSY-Netzer with both old and new friends.

This camp is the first of many steps in their RSY-Netzer journey. 4 days away is the perfect taster, with the opportunity to create new friends from all right across the country and build a connection to RSY-Netzer’s values.

For those returning to RSY-Netzer, every camp is unique!

RSY-Netzer creates an environment where young Jews are able to explore their Jewish identity whilst creating special memories.

What does Sheleg include?

The incredible 4 day camp will  include a very special Kabbalat Shabbat and the opportunity to explore different creative forms of prayer every day, including Birkat Hamazon.

Sheleg offers an incredible balance of Kef (fun) activities as well as some amazing site activities.

We also work hard to create an inclusive environment, where everyone is able to feel comfortable. We take pride in supporting the participants in making friends from the moment they step on the coach, through every day and during mealtimes. If your child would like to come on camp and needs additional support, our Wellbeing Team will call you once we receive the application.  If you would like to discuss prior to applying, please contact Sharon Daniels (sdaniels@rjuk.org).

Who else will be there?

For many Sheleg is the first time meeting other Jewish young children, and where individuals are able to connect with Judaism in a positive way!

Choref (winter camps) is the unique time when all RSY-Netzer camps are on one site meaning siblings & friends are able to spend time together!

Whilst our events are primarily run by our incredible fully trained madrichimot (leaders), our incredible tzvatimot (leadership teams) they also consist of a professional wellbeing officer, a qualified medic, and other amazing professionals!
