Why Kerach?

Kerach, meaning ice, is our incredible 4 day residential winter camp for school years 7-9 (P5-P7) only! This year there’s the rare opportunity to have a Kef (fun) filled New Year’s Eve with RSY-Netzer and celebrate with old friends and new!

Kerach is the perfect opportunity for those who want to give RSY-Netzer a try. This camp is an incredibly welcoming environment for you to meet other young Jewish people from around the country, form new friendships and explore your personal Jewish identity.

For those returning to RSY-Netzer, Kerach is an amazing opportunity to have even more fun whilst expanding your knowledge of Reform Judaism, making new friends and reuniting with old ones!

Each RSY-Netzer event presents unique opportunities and experiences. Whether this is your first ever camp or your third winter experience, Kerach will be a once in a lifetime experience for all!

What does Kerach include?

Kerach is made up of lots of engaging and entertaining activities, including a unique RSY-Netzer New Year’s Eve celebration!

This year our educational activities have a focus on Reform Judaism, exploring different aspects of what we practice and why. These activities are tailored to each year group and are full of Kef-Jew-Cation (fun Jewish education), meaning you’re able to learn whilst having fun!

Over the 4 days, there will be the opportunity to experience different areas of prayer in a way that is creative and meaningful, including Birkat Hamazon and very special Kabalat Shabbat Service!

Kerach further offers an incredible balance of Kef (fun) and educational activities, services, discos, and some amazing site activities!

We work hard to create an inclusive environment, where everyone feels comfortable and is able to participate in all activities. We will support individuals from the moment they step on the coach, throughout every day and during meal times.   If your child would like to come on camp and needs additional support, our Wellbeing Team will call you once we receive the application.

If you would like to discuss prior to applying please contact Sharon Daniels (sdaniels@rjuk.org)

Who else will be there?

Kerach creates the opportunity to meet other young Jewish people from around the country and to connect with Judaism in a unique, positive way!

Choref (winter camp) is the special time when all chaverimot (friends) from RSY-Netzer can be together. All camps are on the same site so siblings, families and friends are able to see each other!

Our events are primarily ran by our incredible fully-trained madrichimot (leaders) and our tzvatimot (teams of leaders) also consist of a professional wellbeing officer and a qualified medic.
