We’re so excited to announce our brand-new summer day scheme – Summer 2SY! This year, Alyth and FRS are joining together for Summer 2SY running from Mon16 – Thurs 19 August 2021
Summer 2SY, open for current school year Reception – Year 6, is an amazing day camp experience for 4 days in August.
It’s a perfect way to spend the school holiday, in a safe and friendly environment, with a great opportunity to meet other children from the Reform Jewish community.
Deadline for chanichimot: 18 July 2021
Deadline for madrichimot: 1 June 2021
Alongside our amazing team of madrichimot (youth leaders) from Alyth, FRS & RSY-Netzer, we’ll be running a range of activities and programmes, with many to choose from, ranging from: art to sports, stories to sing songs and drama to games (and much more). Surprise theme to be announced!
Depending on numbers and social distancing guidelines, age groups will be divided as Rec-Yr2, Yr3/4 & Yr5/6 for all activities.
Pay per Day
Due to coronavirus challenges, RSY-Netzer will not be running its own day camp this year. However our partners at FRS and Alyth have invited our RSY-Netzer members to join their day camp at the cost of £35 per day (£30 for members of Alyth & FRS). There is also a 10% sibling discount on offer.
We are very excited to be working with them this year and are sure that this day camp will be packed full of fun and surprises for all chanichimot.
Health & Safety
Summer 2SY will be run outdoors at the Sternberg Centre, in small groups that include the chanichimot (participants) and madrichimot. The different groups will be able to use separate spaces on site, to maintain social distance (if required). With the awareness that it could rain, there will be under canvas shelter alternatives prepared and spaces inside the Akiva school, that can be opened and sufficiently ventilated.
Please be aware that we will be following government guidance and regulations and your acceptance of a place on Summer 2SY assumes an acceptance of these conditions. Once you are registered, you will be sent the code of conduct to sign.
We will keep the same year groups for the duration of camp. However, please be aware that as participants can sign up for any number of days, your child/ren may come into contact with different children on different days. All activities will be risk assessed in line with current government guidance.
There will be individually packaged snacks provided, however, please prepare a meat-free and nut-free lunch for each day your child attends.
We’re really excited to bring our communities closer together!
